No tree is too big, too small or too difficult.

We use strict industry guidelines ANSI A300. Specifications will be written based on pruning objectives.

There are 2 objective types:

Hazard reduction pruning: This is recommended when the primary objective is to reduce the danger to a specific target caused by a visibly defined hazard in a tree.
Maintenance pruning: This method is recommended when the primary objective is to maintain or improve tree health and structure and also includes hazard reduction pruning.
After determining which type of pruning is needed, a minimum and/ or maximum diameter size of branches to be removed should be specified in all pruning operations. This establishes how much pruning is to be done.

Pruning Types

HRP(Hazard Reduction Pruning) and MP (Maintenance Pruning) should consist of one or more of the following types:

Crown Cleaning: This shall consist of the selective removal of one or more of the following items: Dead, dying or diseased branches, weak branches or water spouts.

Crown Thinning: This shall consist of the selective removal of branches to increase light penetration, air movement, and reduce weight.

Crown Raising: This shall consist of the removal of the lower branches to provide clearance.

Crown Reduction or Crown Shaping: This decreases the height and/or spread of the tree.

Vista Pruning: This is a selective thinning of framework limbs or specific areas of the crown to allow a view of an object from a predetermined point.

Crown Restoration: This should improve the structure, form and appearance of trees which have been severely headed (topped), vandalized or storm damaged.
